This apparatus consists of two 20mm diameter neodymium magnets fixed to two adjustable bolts, enabled a gap between the magnets of 4 and 83mm to be produced. Field strengths of between 100 and 7,500 gauss can be achieved, and a pair of black iron plates can be added to increase field size.
