The Haines vacuum chamber includes an airtight container and a hand pump for removing the air from the chamber. This allows you to easily create a vacuum.
Your students can conduct a variety of exciting experiments , such as:
• Comparing the size of a balloon in a vacuum
• Vacuum-sealing half an apple and demonstrating the effect of air on food
• Vacuum-sealing a ringing cell phone to compare the sound with and without air
• Demonstrating the principle of air resistance using down feathers in a vacuum
• Measuring the weight of the pumped-out air: Simply weigh the chamber with and without vacuum (digital scales with 0.1 g accuracy recommended).
Height 7cm, diameter 12cm.
