Student Spectrometer, for study of Flame emission and Atomic Absorption Spectometry and Colorimetry. Unique tool for teaching and demonstrating these functions in the classroom.

Demonstrate the principles of both flame and atomic absorption spectrometry. Can be used either with or without a computer. Complete with air and gas controls for atomising the sample and for running the burner. Supplied with nebuliser, all cables and Windows based software.

Complete with instructions and experiments devised by Monash University.

For AA work, used normally with a sodium light source (not supplied).

• 1x spectrometer unit and light detector on cable.
• 1x flame spreader for top of burner
• 1x plug-pak power source, 12V.AC.
• 1x cable for connecting to the 9 pin serial port of a computer (9M/9F).
• 1x adaptor to convert the cable to suit a old type 25 pin serial port (9M/25F).
• 1x cable with DIN plug for external uV/mV signals.
• 1x bench meter (0-100% & 0-5V.DC. scales) for measurements.
• 1x connecting leads for meter, red / black.
• 1x atomiser (nebuliser) to feed a mist of sample fluid into the flame.
• 10x cuvettes for colorimetric samples.
• 3x spare globes for colorimetric light source.
• 1x CD and handbook of instructions and many experiments.
