These microscope lamps come in either 220/240V mains powered models or 12V AC/DC models.

The 220/240V mains operated model uses a 25W pearl lamp. The front glass of the lamp can be either clear or with a blue tint to compensate for the red content of the incandescent light and to make the light whiter in colour. The whole instrument is virtually unbreakable. The stainless steel stand is very strong, simple and effective and it holds the microscope lamp body together

The 12V AC or DC model uses a 12V 20W QI lamp with inbuilt reflector, and is to be powered by a power supply (the 2633001 is ideal). It runs much cooler and provides a much brighter and whiter beam of light to the subject of illumination. The whole instrument is virtually unbreakable. The stainless steel stand is very strong, simple and effective and it holds the microscope lamp body together.
