How does it work?

By squeezing the handle, a thin metal rod that spans the length of the robot arm is forced away from the claw at the end. This in-turn activates a ratchet system within the claw forcing the claw closed. When the handle is released, the metal rod assumes its original position and the claw springs open again with a ratchet sound. Practice grabbing smaller and smaller objects to increase your manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
