The needle source is designed for creating a point source inside a cloud chamber for demonstrating alpha and beta radiation tracks.
The Pb-210 is deposited onto the eyelet of a needle which is mounted on a test tube stopper. The stopper is placed into a test tube for protection during shipping and storage.
All Pb-210 needle sources have an uncertainty of +/-20% and 0.01 μCi (0.37 kBq).
